From 29 September 2023, anybody who meets the criteria for the Work to Residence Visa, Care Workforce Work to Residence Visa, or Transport Work to Residence Visas can submit their residence visa application.
These visas are a great opportunity for skilled workers to gain permanent residence in New Zealand. If you have been working in a qualifying role for two years, you may be eligible to apply.
Here is a summary of the eligibility criteria for each visa:
Work to Residence Visa:
You must have worked in a Tier 2 Green List role for 24 months.
You must be employed by an accredited employer.
You must meet the English language requirements.
Care Workforce Work to Residence Visa:
You must have worked in a care workforce role for 24 months.
You must be employed by an accredited employer.
You must meet the English language requirements.
You must be paid at least the level 4 support workers’ minimum wage.
Transport Work to Residence Visa:
You must have worked in a land or maritime transport job that is in high demand for 24 months.
You must be employed by an accredited employer.
You must meet the English language requirements.
